Team that hacked the initiative problem wins special award at PARE hackathon

On 6-7 March, PARE, the Estonian Association for Human Resource Management, held a hackathon where two teams full of enthusiasm searched for a solution on how to make an organisation domestic abuse aware.

One of the teams focused their solution on small businesses, the other on perpetrators and how to address them in the organisation.

The team focusing on small businesses won a special prize from the jury. Congratulations to Alina Košeleva, Anneli Sadam, Fred Kaur, Liis Tori, Riin Ojalo, Terje Sosi and Triin Vaidilaite and their mentor Ülle Pind!

Many thanks also to the second team: Angela Mäll, Delis-Amalie Aare, Elisabeth Kass, Evely Veski-Palu, Kärt Seil and Kersti Ziza and their mentor Merle-Liisu Lindma!

"It was exciting to observe the discussions and questions that arose. The hackathon helped us to raise awareness and stimulate discussion on whether domestic abuse awareness should be something that employers pay attention to. Only together can we break the silence around violence. There are certainly ideas to take with us and consider in the development of the initiative," said Triin Adamson, head of Violence-Free.
